• The environment and components of the installation (database, configuration file, main folders...)
• Initial configuration, the most important settings of "LocalSettings.php"
  • Display a logo and favicon
  • Display wiki name (important for Optimize SEO)
  • Connect the wiki to the database
• What are the most interesting extensions?
• Install a new extension
• Where are the files on the server?
• Where are the files uploaded to the wiki stored?
• Know if an installed extension is being used
• Install and display a new skin by default
• Create a new user group
• Enable subpages

MediaWiki maintenance

• The most used maintenance scripts
• Update MediaWiki and its extensions
